A DeFi project today faces a multitude of challenges on its journey to maturity. This includes but is not limited to community growth and participation, exposure, partner networks, etc. — all of which need to be brought together quickly and effectively in order to scale.
These issues are further accentuated by the current state of the market, which is moving at an ever-accelerating pace — giving projects very little time to settle and put these pieces together.
Genesis Shards built on NFT swaps aims to offer a one-stop environment for great projects to meet great partners, build an engaged community base and get ‘crowdsourced’ hype early on in its life cycle.
Building a sustainable ecosystem through Genesis partners
We aim to provide DeFi projects with the highest potential — with the best support possible early on. To achieve the vision, we have decided to bring on a group of strategic partners who will help the Genesis ecosystem function effectively and sustainably at scale.
To this effect; the Genesis ecosystem will have a coterie of partners in one of the 3 segments:
- Genesis Access shards
- Genesis Ecosystem shards
- Genesis Mentor shards
All partners will have a specific, critical role to play in the Genesis ecosystem.
ACCESS Shards — in order to scout for the most promising projects out there, we will need to scale our ecosystem and get as many eyes as possible on the lookout. Here is where the Access Partners come in and help us expand our ‘field of vision’.
Genesis Ecosystem & Mentor Shard partners — once a project is in the ecosystem, it will require the best possible support in terms of community engagement, social media reach out, mentorship, etc. This is where the Ecosystem Partners and Mentor Partners would play a crucial role.

Who is an Access shard?
A Genesis Access Shard partner is a partner entity (institution/individual) whose role would be to bring in the most promising early-stage DeFi projects to the GenShards network. Shortlisted projects would then be added into the ecosystem and would be able to reap the benefits of Genesis Ecosystem and Mentor Shards.
This would help projects navigate through the challenges faced in the early stages of growth, including community engagement, technology R&D, event planning, social media outreach, mentorship, etc. Also — these projects would get access to pre-IDO token liquidity through the Gen Ticket platform on the NFTX exchange.
What is the value for various stakeholders?
For the DeFi projects
Projects get access to top-tier partners for mentorship and exposure, and they also get a diverse and engaged community base early on in their lifecycle. Given the current speed of innovation and the pace of the market in DeFi, every single day is critical — and early support can be a complete game-changer to any project’s success.
For the Access Shard partners
The Access Shard partners can bring limelight to a project they see promise in and/or have invested in at an early stage, by bringing it into the Genesis ecosystem. In addition to the exposure, projects get end-to-end support from all possible angles and have a greater chance of succeeding.
For the Genesis community members
Genesis community members with Access Card holdings would be able to get access to early-stage entries in some of the best-vetted projects in the DeFi space — on the same stage as VCs/ institutions.
